My wife and I were out shopping downtown one afternoon.
As we walked back toward the street…
We spotted a parking officer writing a ticket.
Feeling a little mischievous, I walked over and said,
“Come on, Officer…”
“How about giving a couple of senior citizens a break?”
He didn’t even look up.
He just kept writing.
So I muttered,
“What a butthead.”
That got his attention.
He glared at me…
Then calmly started writing another ticket.
Apparently, the tires were worn.
My wife wasn’t about to let him have the last word.
She smiled sweetly and said,
“You’re such a jerk.”
Without saying a word…
He pulled out another ticket book.
And started writing again.
For the next twenty minutes…
It became a game.
The more we teased him…
The more tickets he piled onto the windshield.
One…
Two…
Three…
Four…
By the time he finally finished, the windshield looked like it had been wallpapered.
He gave us one last smug look…
Turned…
And walked away.
Just then…
Our bus pulled up.
My wife and I climbed aboard…
Found two seats…
And rode happily home.
After all…
It wasn’t our car. 😂🤣
Retirement is all about finding inexpensive ways to entertain yourself.
