The Mysterious Woman
One day, a traveling salesman passed by a house and saw the husband standing outside. He quickly approached and asked,
“Would you or your wife like to buy something?”
“My wife isn’t home,” the man replied. “What do you have?”
The salesman began showing him various household items—pots, pans, and other kitchen tools. But the husband didn’t seem interested in any of them. Instead, his eyes were drawn to a small mirror.
“What’s this?” he asked, picking it up. He looked into it and suddenly exclaimed,
“Oh my! This is a picture of my father! It’s wonderful—I’ll take it!”
After buying the mirror, the husband became worried that his frugal wife would be upset if she found out he had spent money on something so unnecessary. So he hid it in the storage room behind some boxes.
From that day on, he would sneak into the storage room several times a day just to look at the “picture.”
His behavior made his wife suspicious.
One night, after he had gone to sleep, she quietly went into the storage room and found the mirror. She picked it up, looked into it… and frowned.
“So this is the mysterious woman you’ve been visiting every day…” 😏
