A mother-in-law decided to surprise the newlyweds with an unexpected visit.
She rang the doorbell, and to her astonishment, her daughter-in-law answered the door…
…wearing absolutely nothing.
The older woman gasped.
“Good heavens! What on earth are you doing?”
The young wife smiled.
“I’m waiting for my husband to come home from work.”
The mother-in-law stared in disbelief.
“But… you’re not wearing any clothes!”
The young woman grinned.
“Oh, I am.”
“This is my Love Dress.”
“My husband absolutely loves it.”
“It makes him happy… and it makes me happy.”
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, he’ll be home any minute.”
Still shaking her head, the mother-in-law left.
But on the drive home, she couldn’t stop thinking about this mysterious Love Dress.
“Maybe I’ve been doing marriage all wrong,” she thought.
So she went home…
Took a shower…
Put on her favorite perfume…
And waited by the front door wearing her own version of the Love Dress.
A few minutes later, her husband walked in.
He froze.
Looked her up and down.
Then frowned thoughtfully.
“What on earth are you doing?”
She smiled proudly.
“This is my Love Dress.”
He nodded slowly…
Squinted for another second…
Then said,
“Needs ironing.” 😂
