An old man named Jack was sitting peacefully on his front porch when his neighbor walked over.
“Morning, Jack! You look unusually cheerful today.”
Jack smiled.
“I just got back from a funeral.”
The neighbor’s smile disappeared.
“Oh… I’m sorry to hear that. Was it someone close to you?”
Jack shook his head.
“Nope.”
“A good friend?”
“No.”
“A family member?”
“Not even close.”
The neighbor looked completely confused.
“Then whose funeral was it?”
Jack leaned back in his chair, grinned, and said,
“The guy who kept telling my wife she deserved better.”
The neighbor stared at him for a moment.
Jack took a sip of coffee.
“Some people just don’t know when to stop giving relationship advice.”
