A Missed Opportunity of Biblical Proportions

A priest was driving down a sunny country road when he spotted a beautiful young nun waiting at a bus stop. He pulled over and gladly offered her a lift.

As she climbed into the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt, her habit parted slightly, revealing a stunning leg. The priest caught a glimpse and nearly drove the car straight into a ditch. After regaining control of the vehicle, temptation got the better of him, and he subtly slid his hand onto her knee.

The nun looked at him calmly and said, “Father, remember Psalm 129.”

Flustered and embarrassed, the priest instantly pulled his hand back, apologizing profusely. But a few miles later, while shifting gears, the temptation became too much to bear, and his hand wandered right back up her thigh.

The nun warned him again, “Father, remember Psalm 129!”

“I am so sorry, Sister,” the priest stammered, quickly retreating. “The flesh is weak.”

When they arrived at the convent, the nun got out of the car, gave him a deeply meaningful glance, and walked inside.

The moment the priest arrived back at his church, he rushed to the altar, grabbed a Bible, and frantically flipped open to Psalm 129.

The verse read:

“Go forth and seek; further up you will find glory.”
