They Drank a Laxative to Reclaim Their Youth—Then One of Them Did a Very “Childish” Thing

Two 80-year-old buddies, John and Sylvester, were cruising down the highway with the radio blasting. Just as a commercial for Ex-Lax was wrapping up, the announcer’s voice boomed through the speakers: “Ex-Lax… It makes you feel young again!”

John immediately turned to Sylvester, his eyes wide with excitement. “Sylvester, did you hear that? We need to pull over right now and buy a bottle of that stuff!”

Sylvester heartily agreed, so they pulled into the very next pharmacy, bought a bottle, and eagerly opened it right there in the front seat. Hoping to jumpstart their youth, they both chugged down two large tablespoons each and kept on driving.

About a mile down the road, Sylvester shifted in his seat, turned to his friend, and asked, “Well, John… do you feel young yet?”

“No, not really,” John grumbled, disappointed.

Determined to get results, they pulled over to the shoulder a second time. This time, they aggressively downed four more tablespoons a piece before hitting the gas again.

A couple of miles later, Sylvester looked over anxiously. “How about now, John? Do you feel any younger?”

John gripped the steering wheel, his face turning an interesting shade of pale, and whimpered:

“No… but I sure just did a childish thing!”

BONUS STORY: The Christmas Wish
His Christmas Wish Came True with a New Baby Sister—But His Next Request Terrified His Mother
A father was sitting by the fireplace with his young son early in December, getting ready to write a letter to Santa.

“Son, what do you want more than anything else for Christmas this year?” the father asked gently.

Without hesitating, the little boy beamed and replied, “I want a baby sister!”

As fate would have it, his mother was already heavily pregnant and went into labor right on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, she walked through the front door, proudly cradling a brand-new baby sister to present to her overjoyed son. The little boy was convinced Christmas magic was completely real.

Fast forward exactly one year later. The holiday season rolled around again, and the father sat his son down for their annual chat.

“Well, bud,” the dad smiled, “your wish came true last year. What would you like for Christmas this time?”

The little boy thought about it very carefully for a long moment, looked toward the kitchen where his mother was resting, and whispered:

“Well… if it wouldn’t make Mummy too uncomfortable… I’d really love a pony.”
